♡ mami yamase ♡

mami yamase is my all time favourite idol!! ♡ i first found her through 'super mario bros: the great mission to rescue princess peach' (1986) where she played, well, princess peach (my beloved). i also loved her song 'crystal ball' from that movie so i decided to delve into the rest of her discography - and i'm so glad i did!! 'lycee' is now my favourite album of all time (okay it's technically an EP but still) she is also super adorable and has such a cute voice!! i also love how wacky her image and music became as her career progressed. she's so awesome and she deserves so much more attention and appreciation!! ♡

♡ beauty pair ♡

beauty pair is fascinating to me!! not only were they a singing idol duo, but first and foremost they were pro wrestlers!! i've never been into wrestling but they make it look very cool (basically: i like women) (also jackie sato was a babe) their music is very fun and their outfits are always so fabulous!! i'm obsessed with their theme song 'kakemeguru seishun' it kicks ass ♡

♡ pink lady ♡

i haven't went too deep into pink lady's discography yet but i think they are so cool!! i love their self titled album and i was floored when i found out that they speak very little english and that the whole album was recorded phoenetically because their pronounciation sounds excellent!! another thing that floored me about pink lady is their song nami nori pirates from their album magical music tour (another great album) which has a very beach boys-esque sound, but apparently the backing vocals were done by the ACTUAL beach boys, who are my favourite band ever. i love when two interests of mine come together like this!! pink lady also had a line of cute fashion dolls, so that's more of my interests coming together :3 these ladies are so gorgeous and their performances are so fun and exciting!! ♡

♡ yukiko okada ♡

yukiko okada really is a princess and an angel. first of all, she is so cute and is such a fashion icon for me!! i want to dress just like her. also, her music is just the prettiest, especially her first two albums 'cinderella' and 'fairy'. her music is also very comforting when i'm going through it, it's just so sparkly and magical and she has such a soft and sweet voice. sometimes her music also feels a little sad and melancholy, considering her tragic story. it makes me wish i could go back in time to comfort her just as she comforts me!! she just seemed like such a lovely person. i honestly feel her - she wanted to chase a dream and make people happy and be happy herself, but she must have been under a lot of pressure. i totally get that. it's so sad what happened and i wish she were still here with us. i hope you are resting in peace, yukko chan ♡
